High Street Businesses in Liquidation and Administration
The UK lockdown will undoubtedly have taken its toll on the High Street. Businesses that rely on customer footfall will be some of the first casualties of the Covid-19 crisis, with businesses that were about to open their doors having since been boarded up and removed their signs. Since the beginning of the outbreak over 900 High Street businesses have gone into liquidation or administration and over 6,000 have been dissolved. The closure of these businesses equates to a £10.32bn loss in turnover.
